FAQ

Will this app run on all Android phones?

This app will run best on all Android phones that run Android 4.2.2 or higher.  This means that not all phones will run the Pillify app because they are not up to date enough to run the code as it is written.

How much space will the app take up on a mobile device?

The size of the app cannot be determined until the app is completed, but upon completion, this will be updated.  Apps are typically 50 to 100 MB.

Will this app run in the background?

The app will run in the background and keep the medications in a calendar like they are appointments.  The timer on the app will run even when closed out of the app, so a person can close the app and do other things, but the app will still remind them to take their medications.

Why do I need this app?

This app is extremely helpful for people that have many medications to take in a day.  It is especially useful for people with busy schedules that do not want to clutter their mobile phone calendar with extra events.  The app will be self-sustained, and it will not rely on the general calendar to keep "appointments."

Will the app cost money?

The app will not cost money because it does not cost a lot to make.  There was no software that needed  to be purchased and all of the development has been done pro-Bono.

Is there a limit to the number of medications I can put in the data base?

There is essentially no limit to the number of prescriptions a person can put into the database.  Although, hypothetically, the database could fill up, but no one would realistically take that many medications, so there is no limit to the number of medications that could be put into the database.

Will my prescription information be safe from hackers?

This app requires log in information with a unique username and password, so your information cannot be accessed by anyone but you.
